IEC 61007:2020 describes a number of tests for use in determining the significant parameters and performance characteristics of transformers and inductors for use in electronics and telecommunication equipment. These test methods are designed primarily for transformers and inductors used in all types of electronics applications that can be involved in any specification for such components. Even though these tests can be useful to the other types of transformers used in power distribution applications in utilities, industry, and others, the tests discussed in this document can supplement or complement the tests but are not intended to replace the tests in standards for transformers. Some of the tests described are intended for qualifying a product for a specific application, while others are test practices used for manufacturing and customer acceptance testing. The test methods described here include those parameters most commonly used in the electronics transformer and inductor industry: electric strength, resistance, power loss, inductance, impedance, balance, transformation ratio and many others used less frequently.

It is named "Magnetic components and ferrite materials" and is responsible for: Standardization in the field of parts and components displaying magnetic properties and intended for electronics and telecommunications, parts associated with such components, measuring methods and tests, and specifications for transformers and inductors using such components, ferrite materials. This committee has published 84 standards.
IMKF develops SIST standards in the area of Electrotehcnics and Electronics. The scope of work includes: Standardization in the field of parts and components displaying magnetic properties and intended for electronics and telecommunications, parts associated with such components, measuring methods and tests, and specifications for transformers and inductors using such components, ferrite materials. Currently, there are 84 published standards from this technical committee.
The Slovenian Institute for Standardization (SIST) is the national standards body of Slovenia. SIST adopts European and international standards as Slovenian national standards and develops original Slovenian standards where needed. As a member of ISO, IEC, CEN, and CENELEC, SIST represents Slovenian interests in international standardization.
A Technical Committee (TC) in SIST is a group of experts responsible for developing international standards in a specific technical area. TCs are composed of national member body delegates and work through consensus to create standards that meet global industry needs. Each TC may have subcommittees (SCs) and working groups (WGs) for specialized topics.
