CEN/TC 289, Leather, in accordance with the Agreement on technical cooperation between ISO and CEN

(Vienna Agreement).

This third edition cancels and replaces the second edition (ISO 14931:2015), which has been technically

revised.
The main changes to the previous edition are as follows:
— title revised;
— requirement for formaldehyde content modified;

— requirements for total chlorinated phenol content and individual chlorinated phenol content added;

— requirements for tensile strength, elongation at maximum force and stitch tear strength added;

— Clause 8 on packaging and marking added.

Le présent document a été élaboré par le comité technique ISO/TC 120, Cuir, sous-comité SC 2, Cuir tanné,

en collaboration avec le Comité technique CEN/TC 289, Cuir, du Comité européen de normalisation

(CEN), conformément à l'Accord de coopération technique entre l'ISO et le CEN (Accord de Vienne).

Cette troisième édition annule et remplace la deuxième édition (ISO 14931:2015), qui a fait l’objet d’une

révision technique.

Les principales modifications par rapport à l’édition précédente sont les suivantes:

— le titre a été révisé;
— l’exigence relative à la teneur en formaldéhyde a été modifiée;

— les exigences concernant la teneur totale en chlorophénols et la teneur des différents chlorophénols

ont été ajoutées;

— les exigences concernant la résistance à la traction, l’allongement sous une force maximale et la

résistance à l’arrachement au point de couture ont été ajoutées;
— l’Article 8 relatif à l’emballage et au marquage a été ajouté.

correspondantes applicables au cuir pour vêtements, à l'exclusion des fourrures. Elle spécifie également

laboratoire.
