Flanges and their joints - Quality assurance inspection and testing of gaskets in accordance with the series of standards EN 1514 and EN 12560

This document specifies the quality assurance procedures that are applicable to ensure that delivered gaskets comply with the relevant product standards. This document sets down procedures by which a user can have confidence that the salient features of each batch of gaskets or gasket materials delivered to him will be constant.
The gasket types covered by this document are those that are within the scope of the series of standards
EN 1514 and EN 12560 and are simultaneously within the scope of the series of standards EN 1591. An exception is those gaskets intended solely for domestic fluids (like water, waste water ...) which are based on rubber with or without reinforcement like fillers and/or inserts.

Dieses Dokument legt die Qualitätssicherungsverfahren fest, die anwendbar sind, um sicherzustellen, dass die gelieferten Dichtungen den jeweiligen Produktnormen entsprechen. Dieses Dokument legt Verfahren fest, durch die ein Anwender darauf vertrauen kann, dass die wesentlichen Merkmale jedes an ihn gelieferten Loses von Dichtungen oder Dichtungswerkstoffen konstant bleiben.
Die in diesem Dokument behandelten Dichtungsarten sind diejenigen, die in den Anwendungsbereich der Normenreihe EN 1514 und der Normenreihe EN 12560 sowie gleichzeitig der Normenreihe EN 1591 fallen. Eine Ausnahme bilden die ausschließlich für Flüssigkeiten für den häuslichen Gebrauch (z. B. Wasser, Abwasser usw.) bestimmten Dichtungen aus Gummi mit oder ohne Verstärkung wie Füllstoffe und/oder Einlagen.

Le présent document spécifie les modes opératoires d’assurance de la qualité applicables pour garantir que les joints fournis sont conformes aux normes de produits correspondantes. Le présent document fixe des modes opératoires qui donnent aux utilisateurs l’assurance que les caractéristiques principales de chaque lot de joints ou matériaux de joints qui leur sont fournis sont constantes.
Les types de joints couverts par le présent document sont ceux qui relèvent du domaine d’application des séries de normes EN 1514 et EN 12560 et simultanément du domaine d’application de la série de normes EN 1591, à l’exception des joints uniquement destinés à un usage domestique (par exemple, pour l’eau, les eaux usées...) qui sont en caoutchouc, avec ou sans renfort, tel que des matériaux de remplissage et/ou des inserts.

1 Scope
