104 - Environmental conditions, classification and methods of test
1. Standardization of environmental condition classes which represent the conditions to which products are most likely to be subjected whilst being: - transported, - stored, - installed and - used. The classification shall use validated environmental parameters and provide guidance in the selection and use of those classes intended for the preparation of relevant specifications. 2. Standardization of environmental test methods intended for the preparation of relevant specifications and to provide guidance in the selection and use of those methods. 3. The correlation and transformation of environmental condition classes to environmental tests. 4. Excluded from the scope of this committee are those matters which are within the scope of other IEC Committees, such as Electromagnetic Compatibility (TC 77 and CISPR), Safety (TC 62, TC 66 and TC 74), Fire Hazard (TC 89), Ionizing Radiation (TC 45), Explosive Atmospheres (TC 31) and Dependability (TC 56). Internal liaisons are maintained with those IEC committees which are specifically excluded from the scope.
Conditions, classification et essais d'environnement

Normalisation des classes de conditions d'environnement qui représentent les conditions auxquelles les produits seront le plus probablement soumis : - au cours du transport, - au cours du stockage, - au cours de l'installation et - en cours d'utilisation. La classification fait appel à des paramètres (agents)d'environnement reconnus valables et elle donne les directives de choix et d'utilisation des classes destinées à la préparation des spécifications correspondantes. 2. Normalisation des méthodes d'essai d'environnement destinées à la préparation de spécifications appropriées et des directives de choix et d'utilisation de ces méthodes. 3. Corrélation et transformation des classes de conditions d'environnement aux essais d'environnement. 4. Sont exclues du domaine d'activité de ce comité les questions inscrites aux domaines d'activités d'autres comités de la CEIcomme la compatibilité électromagnétique (CE 77 et CISPR), lasécurité (CE 62, CE 66 et CE 74), les risques dus au feu (CE 89), les rayonnements ionisants (CE 45), lesatmosphères explosives (CE 31) et la sûreté de fonctionnement (CE 56). Les liaisons internes sont maintenues avec les comités de la CEI qui sont exclus spécifiquement du domaine d'activité.
