25.100.40 - Saws

This document specifies the dimensions and the mechanical characteristics of metal slitting saws, metric series. It applies to the following two types of metal slitting saws: — metal slitting saws with fine teeth; — metal slitting saws with coarse teeth. If there is a need to extend the range or introduce other series of teeth, it is intended that such additions be according to the data given in the graph in Annex A.

This document specifies all hazards arising from the use of tools for woodworking machines, and describes the methods for the elimination or reduction of these hazards by tool design and by the provision of information. This document deals with milling tools (bore mounted, shank mounted), integrated tools and circular saw blades.

ISO 2336-2:2006 specifies the dimensions of machine hacksaw blades. It is applicable to single-edge blades of lengths from 300 mm up to 700 mm, the tooth pitch of which is no greater than 8,5 mm.

ISO 4875-2:2006 specifies the characteristics and dimensions of the various types of metal-cutting band saw blades.

Specifies the dimensions of hand hacksaw blades. It is valid for single edge blades of length equal to 300 mm, the tooth pitch of which is no greater than 1,4 mm.

This document deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situations and events, as listed in Annex A, which are relevant to transportable diamond wire saws and cutting operations as defined in Clause 3.
