Ta dokument določa tehnične lastnosti in metode merjenja za pomorske naprave za lociranje preživelih (MSLD) (naprave za pomoč pri padcu človeka v vodo) z uporabo digitalnega selektivnega klica (DSC) razreda M in določitve položaja s sistemom samodejne identifikacije (AIS) za pošiljanje signalov v skladu s tehnično specifikacijo ETSI EN 300 338-6 [1], ki delujejo prek kanalov 70, AIS 1 in AIS 2 pomorskega mobilnega frekvenčnega pasu VHF. Pomorske naprave za lociranje preživelih razreda M (naprave za pomoč pri padcu človeka v vodo) so vključene v avtonomne pomorske radijske naprave (AMRD) skupine A v skladu s priporočilom ITU-R M.2135.0 [i.6]. Ta dokument zajema ustrezne določbe Pravilnika o radiokomunikacijah [i.4] Mednarodne zveze za telekomunikacije (ITU), vključene v priporočilo ITU-R M.493-15 [2] in priporočilo ITU-R M.1371-5 [i.7]. Ta dokument ne podaja tehničnih zahtev za skladnost z bistvenimi zahtevami Direktive 2014/53/EU [i.1] za kateri koli integrirani sprejemnik GNSS, ki zagotavlja funkcijo lociranja. OPOMBA: Razmerje med tem dokumentom in bistvenimi zahtevami členov 3.2 in 3.3(g) Direktive 2014/53/EU [i.1] je podano v dodatku A.
