Ta dokument določa profil certifikata za potrdila za spletna mesta, do katerih dostopa protokol TLS [i.1]. Profil, določen v tem dokumentu, temelji na osnovnih zahtevah [2] in razširjenih smernicah za potrjevanje [3] organa CA/Browser Forum.
Ta dokument se osredotoča na zahteve za vsebino digitalnih potrdil. Zahteve za pravila o dekodiranju in obdelavi so omejene na vidike, potrebne za obdelavo vsebine digitalnih potrdil, opredeljene v tem dokumentu. Dodatne zahteve za obdelavo so opredeljene le za primere, v katerih navajajo dodatne informacije, ki so potrebne za interoperabilnost. Ta profil se lahko uporablja za fizične in pravne osebe.
