Plastics — Decorative solid surfacing materials — Part 1: Classification and specifications

ISO 19712-1:2008 establishes a classification system for solid surfacing materials according to their performance. ISO 19712-1:2008 also specifies property requirements for the various types of solid surfacing materials covered by this classification. Requirements are specified for the types that are most generally used, but additional types may be added as required. The specified limit values apply to the most commonly used types of material, but within each classification it may be possible to obtain variants having much higher performance values. These materials are characterized by their homogeneous appearance, renewable surfaces and inconspicuous seams. They are generally classified as solid surface sheets (designed for horizontal, vertical, wet and dry applications) and solid surface shapes (including, but not limited to, kitchen sinks, bathroom sinks, vanity tops, showers, tubs and spas). The important properties of solid surfacing materials are water resistance, thermal shock resistance, heat resistance, impact resistance, stain and chemical resistance, cigarette burn resistance, colour stability, hardness, bacterial and fungal resistance, cleanability, hygiene, seamability and renewability.

L'ISO 19712-1:2008 établit un système de classification des matériaux massifs de revêtement de surface en fonction de leur performance. L'ISO 19712-1:2008 spécifie également les exigences relatives aux propriétés pour les divers types of matériaux massifs de revêtement de surface couverts par cette classification. Les propriétés sont spécifiées pour les types qui sont le plus couramment utilisés, mais d'autres types peuvent être ajoutés, si nécessaire. Les propriétés importantes des matériaux massifs de revêtement de surface sont: résistance à l'eau, résistance au choc thermique, résistance à la chaleur, résistance au choc mécanique, résistance aux taches et aux produits chimiques, résistance aux brûlures de cigarettes, stabilité des couleurs, dureté, résistance au développement de bactéries et de champignons, aptitude au nettoyage, hygiène, soudabilité et aptitude à la rénovation.

Предисловие
Международная организация по стандартизации (ISO) представляет собой всемирную федерацию,
состоящую из национальных органов по стандартизации (комитеты-члены ISO). Работа по разработке

Введение
Данная часть ISO 19712 предназначена для использования изготовителями, технологами,
монтажниками и стандартизаторами твердых облицовочных материалов.
Представленные методы испытаний и минимальные значения рабочих параметров относятся, по
возможности, к готовым изделиям. Применяемая технология и способы изготовления могут сказаться
на характеристиках изделия и его эксплуатации.
Требования к характеристикам включают, но этим не ограничиваются, ударную вязкость, структуру,
восстанавливаемость, способность сохранять цвет в условиях хранения и эксплуатации, легкость
очистки, устойчивость к образованию пятен, водостойкость, стойкость к воздействию химических
реактивов, стойкость к действию бактерий и грибов и другие важные характеристики.

обычной работой в лаборатории. Данный стандарт не ставит цели рассмотреть все проблемы
безопасности, связанные с его применением. Пользователю данного стандарта вменяется в
обязанность установление соответствующих мер предосторожности и охраны здоровья и
определение пригодности нормативных ограничений перед его применением.
1 Область применения
Данная часть ISO 19712 устанавливает систему классификации для твердых облицовочных
материалов в соответствии с их характеристиками.
Данная часть ISO 19712 также устанавливает требования к свойствам различных типов твердых
облицовочных материалов, подпадающих под эту классификацию. Требования устанавливаются для
типов материалов, которые используются наиболее часто, однако можно добавлять, по мере
необходимости, дополнительные типы в классификацию. Заданные предельные значения
применяются к типам материалов, которые используются наиболее широко, однако в рамках каждого
класса можно получить варианты, имеющие более высокие рабочие показатели.
Эти материалы характеризуются однородным внешним видом, восстанавливаемой поверхностью и
незаметными швами. Обычно их классифицируют следующим образом.
a) Твердые облицовочные листовые материалы
Твердые облицовочные листовые материалы обозначаются по горизонтальному,
вертикальному, мокрому и сухому применению.
b) Твердые облицовочные фасонные изделия
Твердые облицовочные фасонные изделия, не ограничиваясь указанным, кухонные раковины,
раковины для ванных комнат, туалетные комплекты, душевые, ванны и мойки.
Важными свойствами твердых облицовочных материалов являются
⎯ водостойкость,
⎯ стойкость к тепловому удару,
⎯ термостойкость,
⎯ ударная вязкость,
⎯ устойчивость к образованию пятен и химическому воздействию,

Foreword
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies
(ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO
technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been
established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and

Introduction
This part of ISO 19712 is intended for use by manufacturers, fabricators, installers and specifiers of solid
surfacing materials.
The test methods and minimum performance values presented have been related as closely as possible to
end-use applications. The fabrication method and technique employed may have a bearing on product
performance and service.
The performance requirements include, but are not limited to, impact resistance, structure, renewability,
colourfastness, cleanability stain resistance, water resistance, chemical resistance, bacterial and fungal
resistance and other significant properties.

1 Scope
This part of ISO 19712 establishes a classification system for solid surfacing materials according to their
performance.
This part of ISO 19712 also specifies property requirements for the various types of solid surfacing materials
covered by this classification. Requirements are specified for the types that are most generally used, but
