ISO/TC 34/SC 19 - Bee products
Standardization of the whole process and circulation of bee products, including but not limited to the following: products standards, basic standards, beekeeping practices, quality standards, testing method standards and storage and transportation standards. Food safety standards are excluded (already covered in TC 34/SC 17).
Produits apicoles
Normalisation de l’ensemble du processus et de la circulation des produits apicoles, incluant sans toutefois s’y limiter : les normes de produits, les normes de base, les pratiques d’apiculture, les normes relatives à la qualité, les normes donnant des méthodes d’essai et celles relatives au stockage et au transport. Les normes de sécurité alimentaire sont exclues (déjà couvertes par le TC 34/SC 17).
General Information
ISO 12824:2016 specifies the production and sanitary requirements for royal jelly and establishes a series of organoleptic and chemical test methods to control royal jelly quality. It also specifies the requirements of transport, storage, packaging and marking for royal jelly. This International Standard applies to the royal jelly production (collecting, preliminary processing and packaging) and trade links. This International Standard is not applicable to royal jelly products in which other foods are mixed.
