This document specifies the safety, design, construction and performance requirements, and testing for valve-proving systems, hereafter referred to as “VPS”, intended for use with gas burners and gas-burning appliances burning one or more gaseous fuels.
This document applies to all types of VPS used for the automatic detection of leakage in a gas burner section having at least two automatic shut-off valves, and which give a signal if the leakage of one of the valves, the piping in-between the valves or of the VPS itself and its components exceeds the detection limit.
This document applies to VPS for gases with a maximum inlet pressure up to and including 500 kPa.
This document does not apply to VPSs for use in explosive atmospheres.
This document is applicable to AC and DC supplied VPS (for VPS supplied by stand-alone battery system, battery systems for mobile applications, or VPS which are intended to be connected to DC supply networks, see Annex I).

Dieses Dokument legt die Sicherheits , Auslegungs , Konstruktions- und Leistungsanforderungen sowie die Prüfungen für Ventilüberwachungssysteme, im Folgenden „VPS“ genannt, für Gasbrenner und Gasgeräte für einen oder mehrere gasförmige(n) Brennstoff(e) fest.
Dieses Dokument gilt für alle Arten von VPS, die für die automatische Erkennung einer Leckage in einem Gasbrennerabschnitt mit mindestens zwei automatischen Absperrventilen eingesetzt werden und die ein Signal abgeben, wenn die Leckage eines der Ventile, der zwischenliegenden Verrohrung oder des VPS selbst den Empfindlichkeitsgrenzwert überschreitet.
Dieses Dokument gilt für VPS für Gase mit einem höchsten Eingangsdruck bis einschließlich 500 kPa.
Dieses Dokument gilt nicht für VPS zum Einsatz in explosionsgefährdeten Atmosphären.
Dieses Dokument gilt für mit Wechsel- und Gleichspannung betriebene VPS (für VPS, die durch unabhängige Batteriesysteme, Batteriesysteme für die Anwendung in Fahrzeugen oder VPS für den Anschluss an Gleich¬spannungsnetze betrieben werden, siehe Anhang I).

Le présent document s'applique aux SCE qui sont utilisés pour une détection automatique de fuite sur une partie de la ligne gaz d'un brûleur ayant au moins deux robinets, et qui donnent un signal si l'un des deux robinets, la ligne entre les 2 robinets ou le SCE lui-même, présente un débit de fuite supérieur au niveau de détection du SCE.
Le présent document s'applique aux SCE pour les combustibles gazeux ayant une pression d’entrée maximale allant jusqu'à 500 kPa inclus.
Le présent document ne s'applique pas aux SCE prévus pour être utilisés en atmosphère explosive.
Le présent document couvre les SCE alimentés en courant alternatif et en courant continu (pour les SCE alimentés par des systèmes de batterie autonomes, des systèmes de batterie pour applications mobiles ou des systèmes destinés à être connectés au réseau d'alimentation en courant continu, voir Annexe I).

Ta evropski standard določa zahteve v zvezi z varnostjo, izdelavo in delovanjem za sisteme za preskušanje ventilov (VPS), namenjene za uporabo v plinskih gorilnikih in plinskih aparatih. Prav tako opisuje preskusne postopke za preverjanje skladnosti s temi zahtevami ter zagotavlja potrebne informacije za kupca in uporabnika.

drawn at the latest by November 2025.
