This European Standard specifies the characteristics of hermetic square flange mounted receptacles in the family of circular electrical connectors coupled by threaded ring.
It applies to the class defined in Table 3.
For plugs and protective covers, see EN 2997-008 and EN 2997-009 respectively.

Diese Norm legt die Eigenschaften von hermetischen festen Steckverbindern mit quadratischem Montage-flansch in der Familie der elektrischen Rundsteckverbinder mit Schraubkupplung fest.
Sie gilt für die in Tabelle 3 festgelegten Klassen.
Der freie Steckverbinder und Schutzkappen sind in EN 2997-008 und EN 2997-009 genormt.

La présente Norme Européenne spécifie les caractéristiques des embases hermétiques à fixation par collerette carrée de la famille des connecteurs électriques circulaires à accouplement par bague filetée.
Elle s'applique aux classes définies dans le Tableau 3.

Ta evropski standard določa značilnosti nepredušno zaprtih vgrajenih priključnih doz s kvadratno prirobnico iz družine okroglih električnih konektorjev, priključenih z navojnim obročkom. Velja za razred iz preglednice 3. Za čepe in zaščitna prekrivala glej ustrezna standarda EN 2997-008 in EN 2997-009.
