This European Standard specifies dimensions and design requirements of mobile waste containers with 4 wheels, with flat lid(s) and capacity  up to 1300 l to be used by trunnion and/or comb lifting device.

Dieser Teil der EN 840 legt Maße und Anforderungen an die Formgebung von fahrbaren Abfallsammelbehältern für Schüttungen für Zapfenaufnahme und/oder für Kammschüttungen (im folgenden kurz Behälter genannt) mit 4 Rädern, mit Flachdeckel(n) und einem Volumen von 500 l bis 1200 l fest.

La présente partie de l'EN 840 prescrit les dimensions et les exigences de conception pour les conteneurs roulants à déchets, à quatre roues et à couvercle(s) plat(s) dont les capacités sont comprises entre 500 l et 1 200 l, utilisés avec les lèves-conteneurs par tourillon et/ou à peigne.
