Dentistry - Operator's stool (ISO 7493:2006)

ISO 7493:2006 specifies requirements, recommendations and test methods for the operator's stool in the dental office as well as requirements for the manufacturer's instructions for use and for marking and packaging. It also covers recommendations to manufacturers on the design of operator's stools.
For purposes of ISO 7493:2006, the term "dental operator" includes dentists, dental assistants and dental hygienists.

Diese Internationale Norm legt Anforderungen, Empfehlungen und Prüfverfahren für Arbeitsstühle in der Zahnarztpraxis fest sowie Anforderungen an die Gebrauchsanweisung des Herstellers, an die Kennzeichnung und an die Verpackung. Sie enthält auch Empfehlungen an die Hersteller für die Konstruktion von Arbeitsstühlen.
Für die Anwendung dieser Internationalen Norm enthält der Begriff zahnärztlicher Behandler den Zahnarzt, die Assistenz und den Dentalhygieniker.

Art dentaire - Siège d'opérateur (ISO 7493:2006)

L'ISO 7493:2006 spécifie des exigences, des recommandations et des méthodes d'essai relatives au siège d'opérateur des cabinets dentaires, ainsi que des exigences relatives aux instructions d'utilisation du fabricant, au marquage et à l'emballage. Elle comprend également des recommandations destinées aux fabricants, relatives à la conception des sièges de l'opérateur.
Pour les besoins de l'ISO 7493:2006, le terme «opérateur dentaire» désigne également l'assistant(e) du dentiste et l'hygiéniste dentaire.

This document (EN ISO 7493:2006) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 106
"Dentistry" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 55 "Dentistry", the secretariat of
which is held by DIN.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by November 2006, and conflicting national
standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by November 2006.

According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of
the following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium,
