Aerospace series - Sleeving, heat-shrinkable, for binding, insulation and identification - Part 101: Polyolefin sleeving - Operating temperatures -55 °C to 135 °C - Product standard

This European Standard specifies the required characteristics for four types of heat-shrinkable polyolefin sleevings for use in aircraft electrical systems at operating temperatures between − 55 °C and 135 °C.
Type A:   Very flexible, flame retarded, shrink ratio 2:1
This sleeving has very good flexibility, is flame retarded and will shrink at low temperatures. It is suitable where sensitive components and delicate wiring need protection from excessive heat during shrinking.
Type B:   Flexible, flame retarded, shrink ratio 2:1, 3:1 and 4:1
This sleeving is flexible and flame retarded. It is suitable for general purposes and is available with high shrink ratios.
Type C:   Flexible, not flame retarded, shrink ratio 2:1 and 3:1
This sleeving is flexible and not flame retarded and is available in two shrink ratios.
Type D:   Semi-rigid, flame retarded, shrink ratio 2:1
This sleeving is semi-rigid and flame retarded. It is suitable where strain relief and mechanical support are required

Ta evropski standard določa zahtevane značilnosti za štiri vrste toplotno skrčljivih poliolefinskih cevi za uporabo v letalih električnih sistemih pri delovni temperaturi med −55 °C in 135 °C.
Vrsta A: Zelo prožna, ognjeodporna, razmerje krčenja 2:1
Ta cev je zelo prožna, ognjeodporna in se krči pri nizkih temperaturah. Primerna je za zaščito občutljivih komponent in napeljave pred prekomerno toploto med krčenjem.
Vrsta B: Prožna, ognjeodporna, razmerje krčenja 2:1, 3:1 in 4:1
Ta cev je prožna in ognjeodporna. Primerna je za splošno uporabo in je na voljo z visokimi razmerji krčenja.
Vrsta C: Prožna, ni ognjeodporna, razmerje krčenja 2:1 in 3:1
Ta cev je prožna in ni ognjeodporna ter je na voljo v dveh razmerjih krčenja.
Vrsta D: Poltoga, ognjeodporna, razmerje krčenja 2:1
Ta cev je poltoga in ognjeodporna. Primerna je, kjer sta potrebni razbremenitev in mehanska podpora. Te cevi so običajno dobavljive z notranjimi premeri do 102 mm za razmerji krčenja 2:1 in 4:1 ter do 39 mm za razmerje krčenja 3:1 in v naslednjih barvah za vrsto B: črna, rjava, rdeča, rumena, zelena, modra, oranžna, vijolična, siva, bela in zelena/rumena. Vrsti A in D sta samo črne barve.
Vrsta C je prosojna, ni ognjeodporna in ne izpolnjuje zahtev glede vnetljivosti iz standarda EN 4708-001.
Na voljo so lahko tudi druge velikosti in barve, ki niso posebej navedene v tem standardu. Upoštevati je treba, da se te postavke skladajo s tem standardom, če so skladne z zahtevami za lastnosti, navedenimi v preglednicah 5, 6 in 7, razen z zahtevami za mere in težo.
