Elektromagnetna združljivost in zadeve v zvezi z radijskim spektrom (ERM) - Širokopasovni prenosni sistemi - Oprema za prenos podatkov v frekvenčnem pasu 2,4 GHz ISM, ki uporablja širokopasovne modulacijske tehnike - Harmonizirani EN, ki zajema bistvene zahteve člena 3.2 direktive R&TTE
Ta dokument se uporablja za opremo za širokopasovni prenos podatkov.
Ta dokument opisuje tudi zahteve za dostop do spektra, ki omogočajo lažje deljenje spektra z drugo opremo. Oprema za širokopasovni prenos podatkov, ki je obravnavana v tem dokumentu, se uporablja v skladu z dodatkom 3 k priporočilu ERC 70-03 [i.10] ali Odločbo Komisije št. 2006/771/ES [i.11] s spremembami. Med opremo za širokopasovni prenos podatkov spadajo na primer IEEE 802.11™, zelo zmogljiva radijska lokalna omrežja (RLAN) [i.3], brezžične tehnologije Bluetooth®, Zigbee™, itd. Ta oprema se lahko uporablja v fiksnih, mobilnih ali nomadskih aplikacijah, kot so:
samostojna radijska oprema s pripadajočimi določbami o nadzoru ali brez;
vtične radijske naprave za uporabo z različnimi gostiteljskimi sistemi, npr. osebnimi računalniki, ročnimi terminali itd., ali v njih;
vtične radijske naprave za uporabo v sestavljenih sistemih, npr. kabelskih modemih, komunikatorjih, dostopnih točkah itd.;
sestavljeni sistemi ali kombinacija vtične radijske naprave in posebne vrste gostiteljske opreme. Ta radijska oprema lahko deluje v pasu 2,4 GHz do 2,4835 GHz.
Ta dokument ne zajema aplikacij, ki uporabljajo ultra širokopasovno (UWB) tehnologijo.
Ta dokument zajema določbe člena 3.2 Direktive 1999/5/ES [i.1] (direktive R&TTE), ki navaja, da »mora biti radijska oprema skonstruirana tako, da učinkovito uporablja spekter, razporejen za prizemne/vesoljske radijske komunikacije in orbitalne vire, tako da ne pride do škodljivega motenja«.
