Jewellery - Determination of silver in silver jewellery alloys - Volumetric (potentiometric) method using potassium bromide (ISO 11427:2014)

The method of ISO 11427:2014 describes a volumetric method for the determination of silver in jewellery alloys, preferably within the range of fineness stated in ISO 9202.
These alloys may contain copper, zinc, cadmium, and palladium. Apart from palladium, which must be precipitated before commencing titration, these elements do not interfere with this method of determination.
This method is intended to be used as the referee method for the determination of fineness in alloys covered by ISO 9202.

Diese Norm beschreibt ein volumetrisches Verfahren zur Bestimmung von Silber in Silberschmucklegierungen, vorzugsweise im Bereich der Feingehalte wie in ISO 9202 festgelegt.
Diese Legierungen dürfen Kupfer, Zink, Cadmium und Palladium enthalten. Abgesehen von Palladium, das vor der Durchführung der Titration ausgefällt werden muss, stören diese Elemente dieses Bestimmungsverfahren nicht.
Dieses Verfahren ist ein Schiedsverfahren zur Bestimmung der Reinheit in Legierungen wie in ISO 9202 angegeben.

La méthode de l'ISO 11427:2014 décrit une méthode volumétrique de dosage de l'argent dans les alliages utilisés en bijouterie-joaillerie, compris de préférence dans les limites de titre indiquées dans l'ISO 9202.
Ces alliages peuvent contenir du cuivre, du zinc, du cadmium et du palladium. À part le palladium qu'il faut précipiter avant de commencer le titrage, ces éléments ne gênent pas le dosage.
La présente méthode est destinée à servir de référence pour la détermination du titre des alliages traités dans l'ISO 9202.

Metoda standarda ISO 11427:2014 opisuje volumetrično metodo za določanje srebra v zlitinah za srebrni nakit, ki je po možnosti v razponu finosti, ki je naveden v standardu ISO 9202.
Te zlitine lahko vsebujejo baker, cink, kadmij in paladij. Poleg paladija, ki ga je treba izločiti pred začetkom titracije, ti elementi ne vplivajo na to metodo.

International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO 11427:2016.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an

identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by April 2017, and conflicting national standards shall be

withdrawn at the latest by April 2017.

Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
