Household and similar electrical appliances - Safety -- Part 2-44: Particular requirements for ironers

Deals with the safety of electric ironers for household and similar purposes, their rated voltage being not more than 250 V for single-phase appliances and 480 V for other appliances. Appliances not intended for normal household use but which nevertheless may be a sourve of danger to the public, such as appliances intended to be used by laymen in shops, in light industry and on farms, are within the scope of this standard.

Obravnava varnost električnih likalnih strojev za gospodinjske in podobne namene, katerih nazivna napetost ne presega 250 V za enofazne aparate in 480 V za druge aparate. Področje uporabe tega standarda zajema aparate, ki niso namenjeni za običajno gospodinjsko uporabo, vendar so lahko vir nevarnosti za javnost, kot so aparati, namenjeni za laično uporabo v trgovinah, lahki industriji in na kmetijah.

This amendment A1 modifies the European Standard EN 60335-2-44:2002; it was approved by CENELEC
on 2008-05-01. CENELEC members are bound to comply with the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations
which stipulate the conditions for giving this amendment the status of a national standard without any
alteration.

Up-to-date lists and bibliographical references concerning such national standards may be obtained on
application to the Central Secretariat or to any CENELEC member.

This amendment exists in three official versions (English, French, German). A version in any other language
made by translation under the responsibility of a CENELEC member into its own language and notified to the
Central Secretariat has the same status as the official versions.

CENELEC members are the national electrotechnical committees of Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, the
Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy,

The text of document 61/3545/FDIS, future amendment 1 to IEC 60335-2-44:2002, prepared by
IEC Technical Committee 61, Safety of household and similar electrical appliances, was submitted to the
IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and was approved by CENELEC as amendment A1 to EN 60335-2-44:2002
on 2008-05-01.
The following dates are applicable:

- date on which national standards conflicting
