WG 2 - Applied metrology for NAWI
This standard provides definitions of quantities of metrological specifications of electronic non-automatic weighing instruments (eNAWIs) used by manufacturers and provides measurement and calculation procedures to obtain values for these quantities. It gives user guidance to define and apply tolerance limits for specifications that are relevant to ensure fitness for the intended use of eNAWIs. Further guidance is given on appropriate risk-based qualification activities (calibration, routine tests, adjustment,…) and on proper use of eNAWIs in order to continuously maintain fitness for the intended use over the complete lifetime of an instrument.
