TC 84 is a Technical Committee within the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). It is named "Equipment and systems in the field of audio, video and audiovisual engineering" and is responsible for: To prepare international standards for equipment and systems in the field of audio (including electroacoustic transducers), video, television and audiovisual engineering. NOTE 3: For matters related to Electromagnetic Compatibility, there shall be co-operation with CISPR and TC 77. NOTE 4: Safety of systems and equipment shall be dealt with by either TC 92 or TC 74, as appropriate. NOTE 5: The activity runs from the simplest elements to complete systems.
