Standard Specification for Copper-Cobalt-Beryllium Alloy and Copper-Nickel-Beryllium Alloy Plate, Sheet, Strip, and Rolled Bar

ABSTRACT
This specification establishes the requirements for plates, sheets, strips, and rolled bars of copper-cobalt-beryllium and copper-nickel-beryllium alloys with Copper Alloy UNS Nos. C17500 and C17510. The material for manufacture shall be cast and worked to such purity and soundness as to be suitable for processing by hot working, cold working, and thermal treatment to produce a uniform wrought structure and the specified temper. Products shall be produced in tempers TB00 (solution heat treated), or TD02 and TD04 (cold worked), TF00 or TH02 and TH04 (precipitation heat treated), or TM02 and TM04 (mill hardened). Products shall be sampled and prepared, then tested accordingly to examine their conformance to dimensional (thickness, width, length, straightness, and edges), mechanical (tensile strength, Rockwell hardness, and elongation), electrical conductivity, and chemical composition requirements.
