Standard Specification for UNS N08367 Welded Tube

ABSTRACT
The specification covers UNS N08367 welded tube of limited diameter and thickness for general corrosion applications. The tube shall be manufactured from flat-rolled alloy by an automatic welding process with no additional filer metal. The tube shall be furnished with oxide removed. The material shall composed of carbon, manganese, silicon, phosphorus, sulfur, chromium, nickel, molybdenum, nitrogen, iron, and copper. The tube shall be subjected to the following tests: hydrostatic, pneumatic, eddy current, or ultrasonic test. The material shall also undergo tensile, flattening, flange, reverse-bend, and nondestructive test requirements. Reverse-bend test is not applicable for a specified wall size with respect to outside tube diameter. Nondestructive test includes pressure testing or electric testing. Test results shall show no evidence of cracking or flaws.
SCOPE
1.1 This specification covers UNS N083672 welded tube for general corrosion applications.
1.2 This specification covers outside diameter and nominal wall tube.
1.2.1 The tube sizes covered by this specification are 1/8 in. to 5 in. (3.2 mm to 127 mm) in outside diameter and 0.015 in. to 0.320 in. (0.38 mm to 8.13 mm), inclusive, in wall thickness.
1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to SI units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard.
1.4 This standard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns, if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the user of this standard to become familiar with all hazards including those identified in the appropriate Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for this product/material as provided by the manufacturer, to establish appropriate safety, health, and environmental practices, and determine the applicability of regulatory limitations prior to use.
1.5 This international standard was developed in accordance with internationally recognized principles on standardization established in the Decision on Principles for the Development of International Standards, Guides and Recommendations issued by the World Trade Organization Technical Barriers to Trade (TBT) Committee.
