(Specification)Standard Specification for Brass Plate, Sheet, Strip, And Rolled Bar
Standard Specification for Brass Plate, Sheet, Strip, And Rolled Bar
ABSTRACT
This specification establishes the requirements brass plates, sheets, strips, and rolled bars made from UNS C21000, C22000, C22600, C23000, C24000, C26000, C26800, C27200, or C28000. Plates are generally available only in the hot-rolled temper. The standard tempers of as hot rolled, rolled, annealed, and annealed-to-temper materials are detailed in this specification as well as in other specifications listed herein. This specification also contains information on the required tensile strengths, Rockwell hardness and grain sizes of the materials. The Rockwell hardness test can be used to test for general conformity to the specification requirements for temper, tensile strength and grain size.
