Standard Specification for Copper Alloy Sand Castings for Valve Applications
ABSTRACT
This specification establishes requirements for copper alloy sand castings for valve applications. The castings shall conform to the chemical composition requirements specified. Mechanical properties shall be determined from separately cast test bars, and shall conform with the requirements. Brinell hardness readings shall be taken in the grip end of the tension test bar and shall be made in accordance with the specified requirements.
