This document specifies a test method for determining the leaktightness and the ease of operation of a valve made of thermoplastic material following an impact applied to the operating device.
Additionally, a different procedure of the test on diaphragm valve can be specified by the valve manufacturer.

Dieses Dokument legt ein Prüfverfahren zur Bestimmung der Dichtheit und der Leichtgängigkeit einer Armatur aus thermoplastischem Werkstoff nach einem Schlag auf die Betätigungsvorrichtung fest.
Der Hersteller der Armatur kann zusätzlich ein anderes Verfahren zur Prüfung des Membranventils festlegen.

Le présent document spécifie une méthode d’essai pour déterminer l’étanchéité et la facilité de manoeuvre d’un robinet fabriqué en matière thermoplastique à la suite d’un choc appliqué au dispositif de manoeuvre.
En outre, un mode opératoire différent de l'essai sur un robinet à membrane peut être spécifié par le fabricant de robinet.

piping systems and ducting systems”, the secretariat of which is held by NEN.
This document is currently submitted to the CEN Enquiry.
This document will supersede EN 1705:1996.

— clarifications were introduced for Clause 4 Principle by adding the high-risk impact positions

1 Scope
This document specifies a test method for determining the leaktightness and the ease of operation of a
valve made of thermoplastic material following an impact applied to the operating device.
Additionally, a different procedure of the test on diaphragm valve can be specified by the valve
manufacturer.
