ISO 1179-2:2013 specifies dimensions, performance requirements and test procedures for heavy-duty (S series) and light-duty (L series) stud ends with ISO 228‑1 threads and the elastomeric sealing (type E) that is used with them.
Heavy-duty (S series) stud ends with type E sealing in accordance with ISO 1179-2:2013 can be used at working pressures up to 63 MPa (630 bar). Light-duty (L series) stud ends with type E sealing in accordance with ISO 1179-2:2013 can be used at working pressures up to 25 MPa (250 bar). The permissible working pressure depends upon size, materials, design, working conditions, application, etc.

Dieser Teil von ISO 1179 legt Maße, Leistungsanforderungen und Prüfverfahren für Einschraubzapfen der schweren Reihe (S-Reihe) und der leichten Reihe (L-Reihe) mit Gewinde nach ISO 228-1 und Elastomerdichtung (Form E) fest.
Einschraubzapfen der schweren Reihe (S-Reihe) mit Dichtung der Form E, die diesem Teil von ISO 1179 entsprechen, können bei Arbeitsdrücken bis 63 MPa (630 bar) eingesetzt werden. Einschraubzapfen der leichten Reihe (L-Reihe) mit Dichtung der Form E, die diesem Teil von ISO 1179 entsprechen, können bei Arbeitsdrücken bis 25 MPa (250 bar) eingesetzt werden. Der zulässige Arbeitsdruck ist von Größe, Werkstoffen, Konstruktion, Betriebsbedingungen, Anwendung, usw. abhängig.
Übereinstimmung mit den Maßangaben in diesem Teil von ISO 1179 garantiert keine Nennleistung. Es liegt in der Verantwortung jedes Herstellers, Prüfungen entsprechend den Festlegungen dieses Teils von ISO 1179 durchführen, um sicherzustellen, dass die nach diesem Teil von ISO 1179 hergestellten Bauteile mit den Nennleistungen übereinstimmen.
ANMERKUNG 1   Dieser Teil von ISO 1179 gilt für Verschraubungen nach ISO 8434 1 und ISO 8434 2.
ANMERKUNG 2   Die Einleitung dieses Teils von ISO 1179 enthält Empfehlungen für Einschraublöcher und  zapfen für Neukonstruktionen in hydraulischen und pneumatischen Kraftübertragungsanlagen.
