This document describes the flash method for the determination of thermal diffusivity of ceramic matrix composites with continuous fibre reinforcement.
In order to conform with the unidimensional heat transfer hypothesis, the experimental conditions are defined such that the material behaves in a homogeneous manner. This involves performing tests in one symmetry axis of the composite.
The method is applicable to materials which are physically and chemically stable during the measurement, and covers the range of temperature from 100 K to 2 800 K. It is suitable for the measurement of thermal diffusivity values in the range 10−4 m2∙s−1 to 10−7 m2∙s−1.

Dieses Dokument legt das Flash-Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Temperaturleitfähigkeit von endlos-faserverstärkten Verbundwerkstoffen mit keramischer Matrix fest.
Um der Hypothese der eindimensionalen Wärmeübertragung zu entsprechen, werden die Versuchsbedingun¬gen so festgelegt, dass sich der Werkstoff homogen verhält. Dabei werden Prüfungen in einer Symmetrieachse des Verbundwerkstoffs durchgeführt.
Dieses Dokument ist anzuwenden für Werkstoffe, die sich während der Messung physikalisch und chemisch nicht verändern, und berücksichtigt den Temperaturbereich von 100 K bis 2 800 K. Es ist für die Messung von Temperaturleit¬fähigkeitswerten im Bereich von 10−4 m2⋅s−1 bis 10−7 m2⋅s−1 geeignet.

Le présent document décrit la méthode flash utilisée pour déterminer la diffusivité thermique de composites à matrice céramique renforcés de fibres continues.
Pour se conformer à l'hypothèse de transfert de chaleur unidimensionnel, les conditions expérimentales sont définies de sorte que le matériau se comporte de manière homogène. Cela implique de réaliser les mesures dans un axe de symétrie du composite.
La méthode s'applique aux matériaux qui sont physiquement et chimiquement stables lors de la mesure et couvre la plage de température allant de 100 K à 2 800 K. Elle est adaptée à la mesure des valeurs de diffusivité thermique situées dans la plage de 10−4 m2∙s−1 à 10−7 m2∙s−1.

Ta dokument opisuje bliskovno metodo za določanje toplotne difuzivnosti keramičnih matričnih kompozitov z neprekinjeno ojačitvijo z vlakni.
Za zagotavljanje skladnosti s hipotezo enodimenzionalnega prenosa toplote so opredeljeni eksperimentalni pogoji, pri katerih se material obnaša na homogen način. To vključuje izvajanje preskusov na eni simetrični osi kompozita.
Metoda je uporabna za materiale, ki so med meritvijo fizično in kemično stabilni; obsega temperaturno območje od 100 K do 2800 K. Primerna je za merjenje vrednosti toplotne difuzivnosti v območju od 10−4 m2  s−1 do 10−7 m2 s−1.

The text of ISO 19629:2018 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 206 "Fine ceramics” of
the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as EN ISO 19629:2022
by Technical Committee CEN/TC 184 “Advanced technical ceramics” the secretariat of which is held by
DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by October 2022, and conflicting national standards shall
be withdrawn at the latest by October 2022.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN 1159-2:2003.
