Resilient floor coverings - Quartz vinyl tiles - Specification
This document specifies the characteristics of homogeneous quartz vinyl tiles based on polyvinyl chloride binder, quartz sand as a sole or partial filler, with or without a transparent, non-PVC factory finish and supplied in tile form.
To encourage the consumer to make an informed choice, this document includes a classification system (see EN ISO 10874) based on intensity of use, which shows where these floor coverings will give satisfactory service. It also specifies requirements for marking.

Dieses Dokument legt die Merkmale von homogenen Quarzvinylplatten auf der Grundlage von Polyvinylchlorid-Bindemitteln mit Quarzsand als alleinigem oder teilweisem Füllstoff, mit oder ohne eine transparente, nicht aus PVC bestehende Oberflächenausführung und in Plattenform fest.
Zur Unterstützung des Verbrauchers bei seiner Auswahl enthält dieses Dokument ein Klassifizierungssystem (siehe EN ISO 10874) auf Basis der Nutzungsintensität, das zeigt, wofür diese Bodenbeläge zufriedenstellend eingesetzt werden können. Dieses Dokument legt auch die Anforderungen zur Kennzeichnung fest.

Le présent document spécifie les caractéristiques des dalles homogènes en quartz-vinyle à base de liant en polychlorure de vinyle, de sable de quartz comme charge partielle ou unique, avec ou sans finition d’usine transparente non PVC et fournies sous forme de dalles.
Pour aider le consommateur à faire un choix éclairé, le présent document inclut un système de classification (voir EN ISO 10874) basé sur l’intensité d’utilisation, indiquant l’endroit où le revêtement de sol est supposé rendre un service satisfaisant. Il spécifie également les exigences de marquage.

This document (EN 17396:2020) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 134 “Resilient,
textile and laminate floor covering”, the secretariat of which is held by NBN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by December 2020, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by December 2020.
