This document specifies requirements and test methods to assess the thermomechanical compatibility between a veneering ceramic and a metallic or ceramic substructure material used for dental restorations.
This document applies only to the materials used in combination. Conformity cannot be claimed for a single material.
For requirements for ceramic materials, see ISO 6872. For requirements for metallic materials see ISO 22674.

In diesem Dokument werden Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren zur Beurteilung der Kompatibilität zwischen einer Verblendkeramik und einem metallischen oder keramischen Gerüstwerkstoff, die zur Herstellung von dentalen Restaurationen verwendet werden, festgelegt.
Dieses Dokument gilt nur für Werkstoffe, die in Kombination verwendet werden. Die Erfüllung der Anforderungen kann nicht für einen Werkstoff allein beansprucht werden.
Für Anforderungen an keramische Werkstoffe siehe ISO 6872. Für Anforderungen an metallische Werkstoffe siehe ISO 22674.

Ta standard določa zahteve in preskusne metode za oceno toplotno-mehanske združljivosti med keramičnimi materiali za prevleke in kovinskimi ali keramičnimi podstrukturnimi materiali, ki se uporabljajo za popravila zob. This document (EN ISO 9693:2019) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 106 "Dentistry"
in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 55 “Dentistry” the secretariat of which is held by
DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by May 2020, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by May 2020.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 9693-1:2012 and EN ISO 9693-2:2016.
