Diese Internationale Norm legt Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Einsatzhärtungstiefe von aufgekohlten oder karbonitrierten Sinter-Eisenwerkstoffen durch Messung der Mikrohärte fest.
Die Verfahren sind an poröse Werkstoffe angepasst und gelten nur für vergütete Werkstoffe.

L'ISO 4507:2000 spécifie des méthodes de détermination de la profondeur de cémentation des matériaux ferreux frittés cémentés ou carbonitrurés par mesurage de la microdureté.
Ces méthodes sont adaptées aux matériaux présentant une porosité et s'appliquent uniquement aux matériaux trempés.

The text of ISO 4507:2000 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 119 "Powder
metallurgy” of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over
as EN ISO 4507:2007 by Technical Committee CEN/SS M11 "Powder metallurgy", the
secretariat of which is held by CMC.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by August 2007, and conflicting national
standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by August 2007.

According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of
the following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium,
Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece,
