Respiratory protective devices for escape - Self-contained open-circuit compressed air breathing apparatus with full face mask or mouthpiece assembly - Requirements, testing, marking

This European Standard refers to self-contained open-circuit compressed air breathing apparatus with full face masks or mouthpiece assembly for escape (in short: compressed air escape apparatus). It specifies minimum requirements for compressed air escape apparatus.   This standard does not apply to apparatus for work and rescue or to diving devices.  Laboratory and practical performance tests are included for the assessment of compliance with the requirements.

Diese Europäische Norm bezieht sich auf Behältergeräte mit Druckluft (Pressluftatmer) mit Vollmaske oder Mundstückgarnitur für Selbstrettung (kurz Pressluftatmerfluchtgerät). Sie legt Mindestanforderungen fest für diese Pressluftatmergeräte. Die Norm gilt nicht für Arbeits- und Rettungsgeräte und nicht für Tauchgeräte. Laborprüfungen und praktische Leistungsanforderungen sind enthalten, um die Übereinstimmung mit den Anforderungen feststellen zu können.

La présente norme européenne concerne les appareils de protection respiratoire  autonomes à circuit ouvert et à air comprimé pourvues d'un masque complet ou d'un ensemble embout buccal pour l'évacuation (en abrégé: appareils d'évacuation  à air comprimé). Elle spécifie les exigences minimales requises des appareils d'évacuation à air comprimé. La présente norme ne s'applique ni aux appareils de protection pour le travail et le sauvetage ni aux appareils d'évacuation de plongée. Elle contient des essais en laboratoire et des essais pratiques de performance pour s'assurer de la conformité avec les spécifications
