This document specifies procedures to determine the impact sound insulation using sound pressure measurements with an impact source operating on a floor or stairs in a building. These procedures are intended for room volumes in the range from 10 m3 to 250 m3 in the frequency range from 50 Hz to 5 000 Hz. The test results can be used to quantify, assess and compare the impact sound insulation in unfurnished or furnished rooms where the sound field can approximate to a diffuse field.

Dieses Dokument legt Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Trittschalldämmung durch Schalldruckmessungen mit einer auf einer Decke oder Treppen in einem Gebäude wirkenden Trittschallquelle fest. Diese Verfahren sind für Raumvolumen im Bereich von 10 m3 bis 250 m3 und den Frequenzbereich von 50 Hz bis 5 000 Hz vorgesehen. Die Prüfergebnisse können genutzt werden, um die Trittschalldämmung in unmöblierten und möblierten Räumen quantitativ zu bestimmen, zu beurteilen und miteinander zu vergleichen, wobei das Schallfeld etwa einem diffusen Schallfeld entsprechen kann.

Le présent document spécifie les modes opératoires permettant de déterminer l'isolation des bruits d'impacts à l'aide de mesurages de la pression acoustique avec une source d'impacts agissant sur un sol ou sur un escalier à l'intérieur d'un bâtiment. Ces modes opératoires s'appliquent aux pièces dont le volume est compris entre 10 m3 et 250 m3 et dont la fréquence est comprise entre 50 Hz et 5 000 Hz. Les résultats des essais peuvent être utilisés pour quantifier, évaluer et comparer l'isolation des bruits d'impacts dans des pièces non meublées ou meublées où le champ acoustique peut être assimilé à un champ diffus.

Akustika - Terenska merjenja zvočne izolirnosti v stavbah in zvočne izolirnosti stavbnih elementov - 2. del: Izolirnost pred udarnim zvokom (ISO 16283-2:2018)

Ta dokument določa postopke za določanje izolirnosti pred udarnim zvokom z meritvami zvočnega tlaka z virom udarnega zvoka v hodnikih ali na stopnicah v stavbi. Ti postopki so namenjeni prostorom s prostornino 10–250 m3 v frekvenčnem območju 50–5000 Hz. Rezultate preskusa je mogoče uporabiti za kvantifikacijo, ovrednotenje in primerjavo izolirnosti pred udarnim zvokom v neopremljenih ali opremljenih prostorih, kjer je zvočno polje lahko podobno razpršenemu polju.

This document (EN ISO 16283-2:2018) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 43
"Acoustics" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 126 “Acoustic properties of building
elements and of buildings” the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by February 2019, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by February 2019.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of

This European Standard specifies additional necessary information on how to carry out efficiently and under standardized conditions the determination of the sound absorption coefficients according to EN ISO 354 “Measurement of sound absorption in a reverberation room”. It specifies the additional requirements of the sound absorption measurements and the operating and mounting conditions that should be used for the test. Observe that all demands in EN ISO 354 still should be fulfilled. The results obtained are used for design calculations with respect to room acoustics and to convert frequency-dependent sound absorption coefficients into a weighted sound absorption coefficient αw, according to EN ISO 11654.
This European Standard is applicable for the compile of the single number rating αw, to express the sound absorption performance of suspended ceiling membranes in CE marking and labelling according to EN 13964. This European Standard is not applicable for suspended ceiling kits according to EN 13964.

This document specifies procedures to measure in laboratory the impact sound level reduction of isolated heavy landings connected to a heavy wall, isolated heavy flights of stairs connected to a heavy landing, lower or upper floor, and lightweight stairs connected to a heavy wall, lower or upper floor.
This document also considers the characterization of isolating elements for heavy landings or heavy flights of stairs in terms of an insertion loss expressed as an impact sound level difference. The corresponding procedure is given in a normative annex (Annex A), separated from the other procedures for the sake of clarity.
The tests are performed in defined test configurations and the test results are firstly restricted to the test configurations as described in the test report. The data can be used for comparing the performance of products and as input for EN ISO 12354-2:2017, Annex F, to calculate the sound pressure levels produced by the same stairs and isolating elements when installed in buildings.
The test procedures defined in this document comprise the frequency range from 50 Hz to 5000 Hz.

This document specifies design, type test methods, marking and instruction requirements for cylinder valves with integrated pressure regulators (VIPRs) intended to be fitted to gas cylinders, pressure drums or tubes or used as a main valve for bundles of cylinders that convey compressed, liquefied or dissolved gases.
These are requirements for VIPRs that are in addition to those given in the relevant closure standard, for example, in ISO 10297 for cylinder valves, in ISO 17871 for quick-release cylinder valves, in ISO 17879 for self-closing cylinder valves or in ISO 23826 for ball valves. For ISO 17871, these requirements are only applicable to quick-release cylinder valves types B, C, D and E.
NOTE 1        If the pressure regulating system of a VIPR is acting as the primary valve operating mechanism, it is covered by the relevant closure standard, e.g. ISO 10297, ISO 17871, ISO 17879 and ISO 23826. This also includes designs where closure of the primary valve operating mechanism of a VIPR is obtained by closing the seat of the pressure regulating system.
NOTE 2        If the primary valve operating mechanism of a VIPR is located at the low-pressure side of the pressure regulating system, it is covered by the relevant closure standard, e.g. ISO 10297, ISO 17871, ISO 17879 and ISO 23826.
NOTE 3        The term “pressure receptacle” is used within this document to cover instances where no differentiation is necessary between gas cylinders, bundles of cylinders, pressure drums and tubes.
This document does not apply to VIPRs for
a)       medical applications (see ISO 10524-3);
b)       liquefied petroleum gas (LPG);
c)        cryogenic applications.
