This draft standard specifies laboratory procedures which are intended to imitate the effects of naturally occurring reactions. The physical properties of interest are measured before and after the application of the specified treatments. The effect of the ageing procedures on any of the physical properties of the material may be examined.

Dieser Normentwurf legt Laborarbeitsabläufe fest, mit denen die Einflüsse natürlich auftretender Reaktionen imitiert werden können. Die zu prüfenden physikalischen Eigenschaften werden vor und nach der Anwendung der festgelegten Behandlungen gemessen. Der Einfluß der Alterungsprozesse auf die physikalischen Eigenschaften des Werkstoffs kann geprüft werden.

La présente norme européenne prescrit des modes opératoires d'essai en laboratoire destinés à imiter les effets induits par des réactions qui se produisent naturellement. Les propriétés physiques considérées sont mesurées avant et après l'application des traitements spécifiés. L'effet des modes de vieillissement sur les propriétés physiques du matériau peut être étudié.
