Glass in Building - Insulating Glass Units - Part 4: Methods of test for the physical attributes of edge seal components and inserts
This document specifies the requirements and describes the test methods for edge seal components and inserts. This includes the identification, the determination of physical attributes and the evaluation of characteristics for use in substitution rules in accordance with EN 1279 1:2018.
For the purpose to demonstrate that edge seal components will allow the insulating glass unit to conform to the requirements given in EN 1279 1:2018, Clause 6, EN 1279 2:2018 and EN 1279 3:2018 also apply.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Anforderungen an die Komponenten des Randverbunds und Einbauten fest und beschreibt ihre Prüfverfahren. Dies schließt die Identifizierung, die Bestimmung der physikalischen Merkmale und die Bewertung der Eigenschaften zur Anwendung der Austauschregeln in Übereinstimmung mit EN 1279-1:2018 ein.
Um nachzuweisen, dass die Komponenten des Randverbundes dazu geeignet sind, die Übereinstimmung des damit gefertigten Mehrscheiben-Isolierglases (MIG) mit den Anforderungen nach EN 1279-1:2018, Abschnitt 6, zu ermöglichen, sind EN 1279-2:2018 und EN 1279-3:2018 ebenfalls anzuwenden.

Ta evropski standard določa zahteve in preskusne metode za robno tesnjenje in vgrajene dele. To zajema identifikacijo, določanje fizičnih lastnosti in oceno lastnosti za uporabo pri pravilih o zamenjavi v skladu s standardom prEN 1279-1:2015.
Za dokazovanje, da komponente za robno tesnjenje omogočajo izolacijskemu steklu skladnost z zahtevami, opredeljenimi v točki 6 standarda prEN 1279-1:2015, se uporabljata tudi standarda prEN 1279-2:2015 in prEN 1279-3:2015.
