This part of IEC 61755 defines dimensional limits and material properties of a 2,5 mm and a 1,25 mm diameter cylindrical composite ferrule optical interface to meet specific requirements for APC fibre-to-fibre interconnection.

La présente partie de la CEI 61755 définit les dimensions limites et les propriétés du matériau de l'interface optique d'une férule composite cylindrique, de diamètre 2,5 mm et 1,25 mm, afin de satisfaire aux exigences spécifiques des interconnexions fibre-à-fibre APC.

Ta del standarda IEC 61755 določa dimenzijske omejitve in materialne lastnosti optičnega vmesnika s cilindrično kompozitno tulko s premerom 2,5 mm in 1,25 mm za izpolnjevanje posebnih zahtev za medsebojno povezovanje vlaken APC. Kompozitna tulka ima na območju stika na končnem delu ter na območju stika tulke z obojko različne materiale. Materiali za posamezno območje so cirkonij (ZrO2) za območje stika tulke z obojko ter zlitina Cu-Ni za območje stika na končnem delu. Tulke, izdelane iz materialov, ki so določeni v tem dokumentu, so primerne za uporabo v kategorijah C, U in O, kot je določeno v standardu IEC 61753-1.

interconnecting devices and passive components, of IEC TC 86, Fibre optics, was submitted to the
IEC-CENELEC Parallel Unique Acceptance Procedure and was approved by CENELEC as
EN 61755-3-6 on 2006-12-01.
