Pressboard and presspaper for electrical purposes - Part 3: Specifications for individual materials - Sheet 2: Requirements for presspaper, types P.2.1, P.4.1, P.4.2, P.4.3 and P.6.1

This part of IEC 60641 gives the requirements for presspaper for electrical purposes comprised of 100 % sulphate wood pulp, 100 % cotton or a mixture of sulphate wood pulp and cotton. The main changes with respect to the previous edition are: type P.6 has been replaced with a new type, but the designation has been kept, type P.7 has been deleted, the thickness relation of the properties has been simplified and the values were adjusted to today's needs of users.

Cette partie de la CEI 60641 fournit les exigences relatives aux papiers comprimés à usages électriques, composés de 100 % de pâte de bois sulfatée, 100 % de coton ou d'un mélange de pâte de bois sulfatée et de coton. Les principales modifications par rapport à l'édition précédente sont: le type P.6 a été remplacé par un nouveau type, mais la désignation a été conservée, le type P.7 a été supprimé, la relation des épaisseurs des propriétés a été simplifiée et les valeurs ont été ajustées selon les besoins actuels des utilisateurs.

Foreword
The text of document 15/353/CDV, future edition 2 of IEC 60641-3-2, prepared by IEC TC 15, Solid
electrical insulating materials, was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel Unique Acceptance
Procedure and was approved by CENELEC as EN 60641-3-2 on 2008-04-01.
This European Standard supersedes EN 60641-3-2:1994.
The main changes with respect to EN 60641-3-2:1994 are listed below:
– type P.6 has been replaced with a new type, but the designation has been kept;
– type P.7 has been deleted;
– the thickness relation of the properties has been simplified;
– the values were adjusted to today's needs of users.
The following dates were fixed:
– latest date by which the EN has to be implemented
at national level by publication of an identical
(dop) 2009-01-01
national standard or by endorsement
– latest date by which the national standards conflicting
(dow) 2011-04-01
with the EN have to be withdrawn
Annex ZA has been added by CENELEC.
