Industrial networks - Profiles - Part 1-0: Fieldbus profiles - General concepts and terminology

IEC 61784-1-0:2023 series defines several Communication Profile Families (CPF). Each CPF specifies a set of protocol specific communication profiles (CPs) based primarily on the IEC 61158 series, to be used in the design of devices involved in communications in factory manufacturing and process control. This part of IEC 61784-1 defines a common terminology for all CPFs and conventions to be used in the specification of the CPs. It also provides a compliance statement and an overview of the structure and contents of the CPFs in the IEC 61784-1 series.

IEC 61784-1-0:2023 définit plusieurs familles de profils de communication (CPF). Chaque CPF définit un jeu de profils de communication (CP) spécifiques au protocole, principalement fondé sur la série IEC 61158, à utiliser pour la conception d’appareils employés en communication dans le cadre de la production industrielle et de la commande de processus. La présente partie de l’IEC 61784-1 définit une terminologie commune pour toutes les CPF, ainsi que les conventions à utiliser dans la spécification des CP. Elle donne également un énoncé de conformité et une vue d’ensemble de la structure et du contenu des CPF au sein de la série IEC 61784-1.

Skupina standardov IEC 61784-1 določa več družin komunikacijskih profilov (CPF). Vsaka družina komunikacijskih profilov določa sklop komunikacijskih profilov (CP), specifičnih za protokol, predvsem na osnovi skupine standardov IEC 61158, za uporabo pri oblikovanju naprav, vključenih v postopkih komunikacije v tovarniški proizvodnji in kontroli procesa.
Ta del standarda IEC 61784-1 določna skupno terminologijo za vse družine komunikacijskih profilov in dogovore, ki jih je treba uporabiti pri specifikaciji komunikacijskih profilov. Zagotavlja tudi izjavo o skladnosti ter pregled strukture in vsebin družin komunikacijskih profilov v skupini standardov IEC 61784-1.

"Industrial networks" of IEC/TC 65 "Industrial-process measurement, control and automation" was
submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and approved by CENELEC as EN IEC 61784-1-0:2023.
The following dates are fixed:
• latest date by which the document has to be implemented at national (dop) 2024-01-28
level by publication of an identical national standard or by endorsement
• latest date by which the national standards conflicting with the (dow) 2026-04-28
document have to be withdrawn

This document, together with other parts of the same series, partially supersedes EN IEC 61784-
1:2019 and all of its amendments and corrigenda (if any).
