Fibre optic interconnecting devices and passive components - Basic test and measurement procedures - Part 2-33: Tests - Assembly and disassembly of fibre optic closures

This part of IEC 61300, when required by the relevant specification, evaluates the suitability of assembling and reassembling a fibre optic closure a specified number of times for installation and intervention aims during its service lifetime. A closure tested according to this specification includes a fibre management system and ancillary passive and active components as well as a cable management system for the incoming and outgoing optical cables.

La présente partie de la CEI 61300, quand cela fait l'objet d'une exigence dans la spécification applicable, évalue l'aptitude d'un boîtier de fibres optiques au montage et au démontage, un nombre de fois spécifié, dans un but d'installation et d'interventions pendant sa durée de vie. Un boîtier soumis aux essais de la présente spécification inclut le système de gestion des fibres et les composants passifs et actifs auxiliaires, ainsi que le système de gestion des câbles pour les câbles optiques entrants et sortants.

Foreword
The text of document 86B/2339/FDIS, future edition 2 of IEC 61300-2-33, prepared by SC 86B, Fibre
optic interconnecting devices and passive components, of IEC TC 86, Fibre optics, was submitted to the
IEC-CENELEC parallel vote and was approved by CENELEC as EN 61300-2-33 on 2006-12-01.
This European Standard supersedes EN 61300-2-33:1997.
The main specific technical change from EN 61300-2-33:1997 is including fibre management system and
ancillary passive and active components as well as cable management system for the incoming and
outgoing optical cables.
The following dates were fixed:
– latest date by which the EN has to be implemented
at national level by publication of an identical
national standard or by endorsement (dop) 2007-09-01
– latest date by which the national standards conflicting
with the EN have to be withdrawn (dow) 2009-12-01
Annex ZA has been added by CENELEC.
