Ta del standarda IEC 61753 vsebuje minimalne zahteve za preskuse in meritve ter stopnje zahtevnosti, ki jih morajo izpolnjevati optični pasivni kompenzatorji disperzije (PCDC) na podlagi VIPA, da ustrezajo zahtevam kategorije C v standardu IEC – Nadzorovano okolje. Optični pasivni kompenzatorji disperzije se običajno uporabljajo za zmanjševanje optične disperzije med regeneratorji z dodajanjem optične disperzije k razponu z obratnim znakom kot ga ima skupna optična disperzija optičnega kabla in sestavnih delov. Zahteve zajemajo optične pasivne kompenzatorje disperzije brez priključkov, ki se uporabljajo v enokanalnem prenosu in prenosu multipleksiranja s porazdelitvijo valovne dolžine v enorodnih vlaknih (IEC 60793-2-50 B1/B2/B4).
