Application integration at electric utilities - System interfaces for distribution management - Part 9: Interface for meter reading and control

IEC 61968-9:2009(E) specifies the information content of a set of message types that can be used to support many of the business functions related to meter reading and control. Typical uses of the message types include meter reading, meter control, meter events, customer data synchronization and customer switching. Although intended primarily for electrical distribution networks, IEC 61968-9 can be used for other metering applications, including non-electrical metered quantities necessary to support gas and water networks.

Ta dokument je 9. del standarda IEC 61968 in določa informacijske vsebine nabora vrst sporočil, ki se lahko uporabljajo za podporo številnih poslovnih funkcij v zvezi z odbiranjem stanja električnih števcev in krmiljenje. Značilne uporabe vrst sporočil vključujejo odbiranje, krmiljenje in dogodke električnih števcev, sinhronizacijo podatkov o strankah in preklapljanje strank. Čeprav je namenjen predvsem omrežjem za distribucijo elektrike, se IEC 61968-9 lahko uporablja za druge aplikacije v zvezi s števci, vključno z neelektričnimi merjenimi količinami, potrebnimi za podporo plinskih in vodnih omrežij. Zmogljivosti in informacije, ki jih zagotavlja sistem za odbiranje števcev, so pomembne za različne namene, vključno (a ne omejeno na) z intervalnimi podatki, s podatki o povpraševanju na osnovi časa, podatki o energiji na osnovi časa (uporaba in proizvodnja), z upravljanjem izpadov, s prekinitvijo storitve, z obnovitvijo storitve, s kakovostjo spremljanja storitev, z analizo distribucijskega omrežja, načrtovanjem distribucije, zmanjševanjem povpraševanja, zaračunavanjem kupcem in upravljanjem dela. Ta standard tudi razširja CIM (skupni informacijski model), da podpira  izmenjavo izmerjenih podatkov.
