Alarm systems - Guidelines to achieving compliance with EC directives for equipment of alarm systems

This Technical Report gives guidance on the use of standards for alarm systems in the frame of the implementation of the EC directives. Its purpose is: – to find, among all EC directives, those directives which are directly covering equipment used in alarm systems; – to identify the Essential Requirements (ERs) of the above EC directives which have to be taken into account during the standardization process and which should be known by bodies interested with equipment used in alarm systems; – to register the standards that CLC/TC 79 recommends to use for showing presumption of conformity according to the EC directives and the ERs previously identified. This Technical Report mainly covers equipment used in the following fields of activities: access control, alarm transmission, CCTV, fire detection and fire alarm, intrusion and hold-up, social alarm.

Dieser Technische Bericht ist ein Leitfaden über die Verwendung der Normen für Alarmanlagen im Rahmen der Umsetzung der EG-Richtlinien. Der Zweck des Berichtes ist es: – unter allen EG-Richtlinien die ichtlinien zu ermitteln, die unmittelbar Einrichtungen von Alarmanlagen betreffen; – die grundlegenden Anforderungen der oben ermittelten EG-Richtlinien zu identifizieren, die während des Normungsprozesses zu berücksichtigen sind und die den an den Einrichtungen von Alarmanlagen interessierten Kreisen bekannt sein sollten; – die von TC 79 empfohlenen Normen aufzulisten für die die Vermutungswirkung der Konformität mit den EG-Richtlinien und den zuvor identifizierten grundlegenden Anforderungen gelten. Dieser Technische Bericht betrifft hauptsächlich Einrichtungen die in den folgenden Anwendungsgebieten verwendet werden: Zutrittskontrolle, Alarmübertragung, CCTV, Branderkennung, Einbruch und Überfall, Personen-Hilferuf.
