Ta dokument je eden od delov specifikacije skupnega vmesnika (CI) za digitalne izboljšane brezvrvične telekomunikacije (DECT).
Ta del specifikacije skupnega vmesnika za digitalne izboljšane brezvrvične telekomunikacije določa zahteve za kodiranje in prenos govora ter zvoka. Za ustrezno medsebojno delovanje različnih prenosnih in fiksnih enot je treba določiti zmogljivost prenosa analognih informacij prek digitalne povezave. Pri tem se poleg uporabe skupnega govornega algoritma zahtevajo tudi standardizacija frekvenčnih odzivov, ravni referenčnega govora (ali glasnost)
pri radijskem vmesniku in drugi različni parametri. Ta dokument se uporablja za opremo digitalnih izboljšanih brezvrvičnih telekomunikacij, ki vključuje vse potrebne funkcije za zagotavljanje dvosmernih govorjenih pogovorov v realnem času in prenos stereo zvoka. V tem dokumentu je določenih več govornih storitev, vključno s standardno telefonsko storitvijo na frekvenci 3,1 kHz, širokopasovnim prenosom glasu na frekvenci 7 kHz, super širokopasovno storitvijo na frekvenci 14 kHz in polnopasovno storitvijo na frekvenci 20 kHz. Fiksni del digitalnih izboljšanih brezvrvičnih telekomunikacij, ki zagotavlja takšne storitve, je lahko povezan z omrežjem PSTN/ISDN, zasebnimi omrežji ali omrežjem prek internetnega protokola (VoIP). Povzetek nadzora in uporabe funkcij nadzora odmeva DECT ter smernice z opisom možnosti za proizvajalce in montažerje so na voljo v dodatku A. Informacije o preizkusnih metodah so na voljo v standardih ETSI EN 300 176-1 [9] in ETSI EN 300 176-2 [10] (pred tem so bile zajete v standardu ETSI TBR 010 [i.5]). Pri preskusnih metodah se upošteva, da je DECT digitalni sistem.
