ISO 6224:2005 specifies the requirements for three types of general-purpose textile-reinforced thermoplastic water-discharge hose with an operating temperature range of -10 °C to +60 °C and a maximum working pressure of 25 bar. These hoses are not intended to be used for conveyance of potable (drinking) water, for washing-machine inlets, as firefighting hoses, for special agricultural machines or as gardening hoses for the consumer market.

Ces tuyaux ne sont pas destinés à être utilisés pour le transport d'eau potable, pour le raccordement de machine à laver, pour les machines agricoles spéciales ou comme tuyaux d'incendie ou tuyaux d'arrosage pour le marché grand public.

Foreword
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies
(ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO
technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been
established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and
non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the
International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization.
International Standards are drafted in accordance with the rules given in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 2.
The main task of technical committees is to prepare International Standards. Draft International Standards
adopted by the technical committees are circulated to the member bodies for voting. Publication as an
International Standard requires approval by at least 75 % of the member bodies casting a vote.

1 Scope
This International Standard specifies the requirements for three types of general-purpose textile-reinforced
thermoplastic water-discharge hose with an operating temperature range of −10 °C to +60 °C and a maximum

aux comités techniques de l'ISO. Chaque comité membre intéressé par une étude a le droit de faire partie du

AVERTISSEMENT — Il convient que l'utilisateur de la présente Norme internationale connaisse bien
les pratiques courantes de laboratoire. La présente Norme internationale n'a pas pour but de traiter
tous les problèmes de sécurité qui sont, le cas échéant, liés à son utilisation. Il incombe à l'utilisateur
d'établir des pratiques appropriées en matière d'hygiène et de sécurité, et de s'assurer de la
conformité à la réglementation nationale en vigueur.
1 Domaine d'application
La présente Norme internationale spécifie les exigences pour trois types de tuyaux, en matières
thermoplastiques à armature textile d'usage général pour refoulement d'eau, pour une utilisation dans la plage

de température comprise entre −10 °C et +60 °C et jusqu'à une pression maximale de service de 25 bar .
NOTE À des températures supérieures à 23 °C et particulièrement au-dessus de 40 °C, la pression maximale de
service sera réduite.
Ces tuyaux ne sont pas destinés à être utilisés pour le transport d'eau potable, pour le raccordement de
machine à laver, pour les machines agricoles spéciales ou comme tuyaux d'incendie ou tuyaux d'arrosage
pour le marché grand public.
Ces tuyaux peuvent être utilisés avec des additifs qui abaissent le point de congélation de l'eau à −10 °C.
