Footwear — Test methods for insoles — Heel pin holding strength

ISO 20867 specifies a method of determining the ability of an insole component to hold a heel pin and to prevent its head from being pulled through the insole component. The method is applicable to insoles used in the seat of footwear with inside attached heels, and also to seat components where outside heel attachments are used and the heel pin is clenched.

L'ISO 20867 spécifie une méthode de détermination de l'aptitude d'une semelle première à retenir un clou pour talon et à empêcher la tête du clou de la transpercer. La présente méthode est applicable d'une part, aux semelles premières utilisées dans les emboîtages d'articles chaussants dont les talons sont fixés par l'intérieur, et d'autre part, aux emboîtages d'articles dont le talon est fixé par l'extérieur, le clou pour talon étant aplati.

Foreword
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies (ISO
member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO technical
committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been established has
the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in
liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical
Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization.
International Standards are drafted in accordance with the rules given in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 3.
The main task of technical committees is to prepare International Standards. Draft International Standards adopted
by the technical committees are circulated to the member bodies for voting. Publication as an International

Foreword
This European Standard has been prepared by Technical Committee
CEN/TC 309 "Footwear", the secretariat of which is held by AENOR.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by
publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by March 2000,
and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by March 2000.
According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards
organizations of the following countries are bound to implement this European
Standard: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France,

1 Scope
This draft standard specifies a method to determine the ability of an insole
component to hold a heel pin and to prevent its head from being pulled through the
insole component.
The method is applicable to insoles used in the seat of footwear with inside attached
heels, and also to seat components where outside heel attachments are used and
the heel pin is clenched.

La présente norme européenne a été élaborée par le Comité Technique
CEN/TC 309 "Chaussure" dont le secrétariat est tenu par l'AENOR.
Cette norme européenne devra recevoir le statut de norme nationale, soit par
publication d'un texte identique, soit par entérinement, au plus tard en mars 2000, et
toutes les normes nationales en contradiction devront être retirées au plus tard en
mars 2000.
Selon le Règlement Intérieur du CEN/CENELEC, les instituts de normalisation
