This International Standard specifies two series of shank diameters of rivets for general use, except blind rivets, in the range from 1 mm up to and including 36 mm.

ISO 1051:1999 is an International Standard published by ISO/TC 2 (Fasteners) that defines rivet shank diameters for general-use rivets (excluding blind rivets). It replaces ISO Recommendation R 1051:1969 and sets the baseline diameters to be used in ISO product standards and, where practicable, for non‑standardized rivet products.
