Foreword
IS0 (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide
federation of national standards bodies (IS0 member bodies). The work
of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through IS0
technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for
which a technical committee has been established has the right to be
represented on that committee. International organizations, govern-
mental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the
work. IS0 collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical
Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization.
Draft International Standards adopted by the technical committees are
circulated to the member bodies for voting. Publication as an Inter-
national Standard requires approval by at least 75% of the member
bodies casting a vote.
International Standard IS0 7654 was prepared by Technical Committee
ISO/TC 22, Road vehicles, Sub-committee SC 7, lnjecfion equipment and
filters for use on road vehicles.
This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition
(IS0 7654:1983). The filter without an inner sealing is the preferred de-
sign, but the alternative filter design in annex A may be used.
Annex A forms an integral part of this International Standard. Annex 8
is for information only.

L‘ISO (Organisation internationale de normalisation) est une fédération

La Norme internationale IS0 7654 a été élaborée par le comité techni-
que ISO/TC 22, Véhicules routiers, sous-comité SC 7, Équipements d‘in-
jection et filtres pour application aux véhicules routiers.
Cette deuxième édition annule et remplace la première édition
(IS0 7654:1983). Le filtre sans étanchéité intérieure est le modèle pré-
férentiel, mais la conception facultative donnée dans l’annexe A peut
être utilisée.
L’annexe A fait partie intégrante de la présente Norme internationale.
