Wood-based panels — Determination of resistance to axial withdrawal of screws

ISO 27528:2009 specifies a method for determining the resistance of wood-based panels, of thickness 15 mm and greater, to the withdrawal of screws under axial load. NOTE ISO 27528:2009 establishes fastener holding performance of screws commonly used in applications involving wood-based panels used for building, furniture, cabinet making, joinery or other work in particular regions. Different screws will give different results.

Foreword
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards bodies
(ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO
technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical committee has been
established has the right to be represented on that committee. International organizations, governmental and
non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work. ISO collaborates closely with the
International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of electrotechnical standardization.

1 Scope
This International Standard specifies a method for determining the resistance of wood-based panels, of
thickness 15 mm and greater, to the withdrawal of screws under axial load.

applications involving wood-based panels used for building, furniture, cabinet making, joinery or other work in particular
