Sanitary tapware - Waste fittings for shower trays - General technical specifications

This standard specifies the performance criteria for the liquid tightness and the permeability to pollutants of waste fittings used for waste liquid (above all water) transport.  This standard includes the corresponding test methods and the evaluation of conformity of the product to this standard.

Diese Norm gilt für Ablaufgarnituren von Duschwannen, die in Santitäranlagen (Badezimmer usw.) installiert sind, unabhängig von der Bestimmung des Gebäudes. Diese Norm gilt für die im Abschnitt 4 definierten Ablaufgarnituren für Duschwannen. Sie gilt nicht für Ablaufgarnituren von Spülen, Waschbecken,Bidets und Badewannen, die in anderen Normen festgelegt sind.

Le présent projet de norme s'applique aux systemes de vidage des receveurs de douche installés dans les locaux d'hygiene corporelle (salles de bains etc.), quelle que soit la destination du bâtiment. Elle s'applique aux dispositifs de vidage définis au chapitre 4. Elle ne s'applique pas aux systemes de vidage des éviers, des lavabos, bidets et baignoires qui font ou feront l'objet de normes séparées.

Sanitary appliances - Specification for whirlpool baths
EN 12764:2015+A1:2018

This European Standard specifies "characteristics" for whirlpool baths, having a rated voltage of not more than 250 V for single phase appliances and 480 V for other appliances, which are intended to be installed in indoor domestic situations and used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions for personal hygiene. Such whirlpool baths are tested and supplied as a complete independent unit designed to be drained down after every use. They may be transported in several separate parts, for assembly on site, to facilitate delivery.
Safety aspects of Whirlpool baths (except use by young children and slow moving/weak elderly or disabled individuals) are covered by EN 60335 2 60.
Exclusions: this standard does not cover additional requirements for whirlpool baths intended for uses where specific medical provisions are required, or whirlpool baths for communal uses where they are not drained down after every use. Portable whirlpool devices are not covered by this standard.
For the purposes of this standard the term ‘domestic situations’ includes use in hotels, accommodation for students, hospitals and similar buildings.
Warning: Slow moving elderly or disabled persons should take care when using whirlpool baths. Young children should not be allowed to use whirlpool baths without supervision.
NOTE 1   It is unrealistic to expect manufacturers to provide a definition of what constitutes a ‘slow moving elderly or disabled person’, or ‘young children’. The former is the responsibility of the individual or a carer. The latter is a parental responsibility.
NOTE 2   When EN 60335-2-60 is amended to cover use of whirlpool baths by slow moving elderly or disabled persons and young children the warning given above will be deleted from this standard.

This European Standard specifies constructional and performance requirements together with test methods for close-coupled suites, one-piece and independent WC pans with integral trap used for personal hygiene manufactured from glazed ceramics or stainless steel.
This European Standard does not apply to squatting toilets, WC pans without integral trap or flushing cisterns as separate appliances.
In the case of independent WC pans, the associated flushing cisterns and pressure valves are covered by other standards and the reference to cisterns in this standard is related only to the definition and requirements of flushing volume.
In the case of close-coupled suites and one-piece WCs, this standard also specifies design, performance requirements and the test methods for designated flushing cisterns with flushing mechanisms, inlet valves and overflows. For these products, this standard covers flushing cisterns designed to be connected to drinking water installations inside buildings.
Before installation of WCs, EN 12056 2 and national requirements need to be taken into consideration.
