implant.
Four general terms for diameter (endosteal diameter, platform diameter) and length (endosteal length,
overall length) are defined and explained in examples.

prEN ISO 24466 (ISO/DIS 24466:2022) - published under CEN - provides standardized designations for the parts and dimensions of an implant body or a monopart implant used in oral implantology. The standard defines uniform terminology and measurement methods for key dimensional characteristics and specifies the minimum dimensional data that manufacturers must place on the outermost packaging of dental implants. It covers both multipart (internal and external connections) and monopart implants (e.g., ball-head and conical-head designs), and clarifies bone-level and tissue-level designations.
