Page 9ETS 300 704-2: March 1997Annex A (normative):Requirement list for DECT FTA.1GeneralThe supplier of a protocol implementation which is claimed to conform to the FT specific requirements ofETS 300 370 [4] shall verify that his protocol implementation meets the profile RL.For this, the supplier shall complete a copy of:a)the NWK layer PICS proforma contained in annex A of ETS 300 476-4 [5] if the client states supportonly for class D, updated with the GAP requirements for NWK layer from ETS 300 474-2 [9], and, updated with the requirements for NWK layer from this annex. If the client states support for ARI class-D and any of classes A, B or C, then he shall complete twoprofile ICS Proformas: one for ARI class-D as stated above, and, one according to the requirementsof ETS 300 474-2 [9];b)the DLC layer PICS proforma contained in annex A of ETS 300 476-5 [6] regardless of the classARI, updated with the GAP requirements for DLC layer from ETS 300 474-2 [9];c)the MAC layer PICS proforma contained in annex A of ETS 300 476-6 [7] regardless of the classARI, updated with the GAP requirements for MAC layer from ETS 300 474-2 [9];d)the PHL layer PICS proforma contained in annex A of ETS 300 476-7 [8] regardless of the classARI, updated with the GAP requirements for PHL layer from ETS 300 474-2 [9].A.1.1Profile Requirement List (Profile RL)The Profile RL for the NWK layer as defined in this subclause is based on ETS 300 476-4 [5] andETS 300 474-2 [9]. For every capability the profile requirements are expressed by restriction upon allowedsupport answers in ETS 300 474-2 [9] depending on whether the implementation supports only ARI classD or ARI class D and any of ARI classes A, B or C. The Profile RL is produced by copying selected tablesand/or table rows from ETS 300 474-2 [9] or ETS 300 476-4 [5] (e.g. if a table is not present inETS 300 474-2 [9] because of having the same status as in ETS 300 476-4 [5]), removing the column(s)to be completed by the supplier, and adding a new set of columns giving the new profile requirements, both in terms of the status and allowed values.Profile status columnA profile status column is provided - for Fixed Parts (FPs) supporting only ARI class D.NOTE:This column is also relevant for FPs supporting ARI class A and/or B and/or C (seeclause A.1).SIST ETS 300 704-2:2001

Page 10ETS 300 704-2: March 1997The standardized symbols for the status column are as follows:m or Mmandatory - the capability is required to be supported.o or Ooptional - the capability may be supported or not.n/a or N/Anot applicable - in the given context, it is impossible to use the capability.x or Xprohibited (excluded) - there is a requirement not to use this capability in thegiven context.oi or Oiqualified optional - for mutually exclusive or selectable options from a set. "i" isan integer which identifies an unique group of related optional items and thelogic of their selection which is defined immediately following the table.ci or Ciconditional - the requirement on the capability ("m", "o", "x" or "n/a") depends onthe support of other optional or conditional items. "i" is an integer identifying anunique conditional status expression which is defined immediately following thetable or which is defined in the general condition table below.i or Iout-of-scope - this capability is outside the scope of the given specification, andhence irrelevant and not subject to conformance testing. This status is inparticular applicable for data fields which are reserved for future use. Thestructure of such fields has to be supported, but the value is undefined and thusto be ignored.Reference columnThe reference column gives reference to ETS 300 370 [4], except where explicitly stated otherwise.A.1.2General questions/assumptionsThis subclause contains general questions and/or assumptions that expand all over the Annex A.Table A.1: General questions tableItemType ARI supportedProfilereferenceProfilestatusProfilesupport1Only ARI Class-D supported5.4.1o1012ARI Class-D and any of classes A, B or C supported5.4.1o101o101: It is mandatory to support only one of these options.Table A.2: General condition tableCondition identifierCondition definitionNote 1The status of the relevant item is exactly as the status of this item inETS 300 474-2 [9] or ETS 300 476 Parts 4 to 7 [5] -[8] The item has beenincluded as the Profile reference column include reference to the profile thatdescribes the item more in details.SIST ETS 300 704-2:2001

Statement (Profile ICS) proforma for the DECT/GSM IWP at the Fixed radio Termination (FT) as defined
in ETS 300 370 [4] in compliance with the relevant requirements and in accordance with the relevant
guidance given in ISO/IEC 9646-7 [11].
The supplier of an implementation which is claimed to conform to ETS 300 370 [4] depending on the class
ARIs the implementation supports is required to complete:
- a copy of the PICS proforma ETS 300 476 Parts 4 to 7 [5] - [8], updated with the requirements from
ETS 300 474-2 [9], and with the replacements from annex A of this ETS; and
- a copy of the Profile specific ICS proforma provided in annex B of this ETS.
If the implementation supports in addition to ARI class-D any of ARI-A, B, or, C classes, the supplier has
to complete in addition a copy of ETS 300 474-2 [9] according to the GAP requirements.

Annex A (normative): Requirement list for DECT FT
A.1 General
The supplier of a protocol implementation which is claimed to conform to the FT specific requirements of
ETS 300 370 [4] shall verify that his protocol implementation meets the profile RL.
For this, the supplier shall complete a copy of:
a) the NWK layer PICS proforma contained in annex A of ETS 300 476-4 [5] if the client states support
only for class D, updated with the GAP requirements for NWK layer from ETS 300 474-2 [9], and,
updated with the requirements for NWK layer from this annex.
If the client states support for ARI class-D and any of classes A, B or C, then he shall complete two
profile ICS Proformas: one for ARI class-D as stated above, and, one according to the requirements
of ETS 300 474-2 [9];
b) the DLC layer PICS proforma contained in annex A of ETS 300 476-5 [6] regardless of the class
ARI, updated with the GAP requirements for DLC layer from ETS 300 474-2 [9];
c) the MAC layer PICS proforma contained in annex A of ETS 300 476-6 [7] regardless of the class
ARI, updated with the GAP requirements for MAC layer from ETS 300 474-2 [9];
d) the PHL layer PICS proforma contained in annex A of ETS 300 476-7 [8] regardless of the class
ARI, updated with the GAP requirements for PHL layer from ETS 300 474-2 [9].
A.1.1 Profile Requirement List (Profile RL)
The Profile RL for the NWK layer as defined in this subclause is based on ETS 300 476-4 [5] and
ETS 300 474-2 [9]. For every capability the profile requirements are expressed by restriction upon allowed
support answers in ETS 300 474-2 [9] depending on whether the implementation supports only ARI class
D or ARI class D and any of ARI classes A, B or C. The Profile RL is produced by copying selected tables
and/or table rows from ETS 300 474-2 [9] or ETS 300 476-4 [5] (e.g. if a table is not present in
ETS 300 474-2 [9] because of having the same status as in ETS 300 476-4 [5]), removing the column(s)
to be completed by the supplier, and adding a new set of columns giving the new profile requirements,
both in terms of the status and allowed values.
Profile status column
A profile status column is provided - for Fixed Parts (FPs) supporting only ARI class D.
NOTE: This column is also relevant for FPs supporting ARI class A and/or B and/or C (see
clause A.1).

The standardized symbols for the status column are as follows:
m or M mandatory - the capability is required to be supported.
o or O optional - the capability may be supported or not.
n/a or N/A not applicable - in the given context, it is impossible to use the capability.
x or X prohibited (excluded) - there is a requirement not to use this capability in the
given context.
oi or Oi qualified optional - for mutually exclusive or selectable options from a set. "i" is
an integer which identifies an unique group of related optional items and the
logic of their selection which is defined immediately following the table.
ci or Ci conditional - the requirement on the capability ("m", "o", "x" or "n/a") depends on
the support of other optional or conditional items. "i" is an integer identifying an
unique conditional status expression which is defined immediately following the
table or which is defined in the general condition table below.
i or I out-of-scope - this capability is outside the scope of the given specification, and
hence irrelevant and not subject to conformance testing. This status is in
particular applicable for data fields which are reserved for future use. The
structure of such fields has to be supported, but the value is undefined and thus
to be ignored.
Reference column
The reference column gives reference to ETS 300 370 [4], except where explicitly stated otherwise.
A.1.2 General questions/assumptions
This subclause contains general questions and/or assumptions that expand all over the Annex A.
