Dieser Teil der ISO enthält Festlegungen für Schäfte von zahnärztlich rotierenden Instrumenten, die aus Kunststoffmaterialien hergestellt werden, und legt Verfahren zur Überprüfung der Maße fest. Um einen hohen Qualitätstandard sicherzustellen, wurde eine Anforderung an die Qualitätskontrolle aufgenommen. Unterpunkte 4.6 und 4.7 gelten nicht für Wegwerfinstrumente (Einmalgebrauch). Schäfte aus Kunststoffmaterial sind für Geschwindigkeiten von weniger als 5000 Umdrehungen/Minute entworfen.

La présente partie de l'ISO 1797 prescrit des spécifications pour les queues d'instruments rotatifs dentaires en matières plastiques ainsi que des méthodes de mesurage pour la vérification des dimensions. Une prescription de qualité est ajoutée afin d'assurer un haut niveau de qualité. Les paragraphes 4.6 et 4.7 ne s'appliquent pas aux instruments non réutilisables. Les queues en matières plastiques sont conçues pour être utilisées sous des vitesses inférieures à 5 000 tr/min.

Foreword
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide
federation of national Standards bodies (ISO member bodies). The work
of preparing International Standards is normally carried out through ISO
technical committees. Esch member body interested in a subject for
which a technical committee has been established has the right to be
represented on that committee. International organizations, govern-
mental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the
work. ISO collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical
Commission (IEC) on -all matters of electrotechnical standardization.
Draft International Standards adopted by the technical committees are

ISO/TC 106, Dentistry, Sub-Committee SC 4, Dental instruments.
This fit-st edition of ISO 1797-2, together with ISO 1797-1, cancel and
replace the first edition of ISO 1797 published in 1985, of which they
constitute a technical revision.
